The main differences between the filament and traditional LED bulbs.

They are one of the most appreciated solutions in recent days for the lighting design of premises and commercial activities. I'm talking about filament LED bulbs. To understand, they are those LED bulbs made using the traditional glass bulbs of incandescent bulbs and the new LED technology.

Do they work like traditional LED bulbs?

Filament LEDbulbs have some substantial differences with traditional LED lamps. First of all, each LED filament is obtained by means of a very thin glass bar on which a series of electrically connected micro LEDs have been placed.

This glass bar is then coated with a yellow or orange resin. This type of choice will then influence the color of the light obtained.
LEDs on traditional light bulbs are placed on two floors and emit light only in one direction, that is, in the direction, they are facing. The incandescent bulbs of the past, on the other hand, turned the light uniformly.
The LEDs placed on the filament LED bulbs are arranged on a wire just in search of an effect as similar as possible with the old bulbs. The result that can be obtained is precisely that of a light diffusing, 360 ° in the whole environment in which they are installed.

Should I choose a filament LED bulb or a traditional LED lamp?

Obviously to answer this question we should not let ourselves be guided by the energy emitted or, much less, by the different energy consumption, but by the light that you will be able to obtain.

This means that the main difference is above all aesthetic. Imagine having to illuminate a hotel, a restaurant or a store where diffused and homogeneous light was required, traditional LED bulbs were penalizing. The yield of the new filament LED bulbs instead offer a pleasant result both in terms of brightness and aesthetics.

In the filament LED bulbs there is also an inert gas and just like an incandescent bulbs, those with tungsten filament to understand each other, it is possible to have transparent glass diffusers that do not fog up. Even the glass is able to eliminate possible deposits of impurities on the glass over time.

What would I use? Are you looking for elegance and diffused light? Filament LED bulbs are what you were looking for.
